After numerous leaks and rumors, Google has officially launched its latest smartphone, the Pixel 9a, globally.

 

 

Display & Design

The Pixel 9a features a 6.3-inch Actua P-OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 2700 nits of peak brightness. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for added durability.

Performance & Hardware

Under the hood, the phone is powered by Google’s Tensor G4 chipset, paired with the Mali-G715 MP7 GPU for smooth graphics performance.

Memory & Storage

The device comes with 8GB of RAM and is available in two storage options: 128GB and 256GB of onboard storage.

Cameras

On the rear, the Pixel 9a sports a dual-camera setup, including:

  • 48MP main camera with 8x Super Res Zoom and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS)
  • 13MP ultra-wide lens with a 120-degree field of view

For selfies, there’s a 13MP front camera housed in a hole-punch cutout with an f/2.2 aperture. Both front and rear cameras support 4K video recording at 30fps.

Battery & Charging

The device is backed by a massive 5100mAh battery, supporting:

  • 23W wired fast charging
  • 7.5W wireless charging

Software & Updates

Out of the box, the Pixel 9a runs on Android 15, with Google promising seven years of OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates.
